Asia Alternatives’ Alexa Zhang joins Wilshire
Investment consultancy Wilshire Private Markets has appointed Alexa Zhang as managing director, with responsibility for the firm’s Hong Kong office. Zhang joins from fund-of-funds Asia Alternatives where she served as a director, focusing on Greater China investments.
Prior to her role at Asia Alternatives, Zhang spent four years at another fund-of-funds, Horsley Bridge Partners, where she specialized in emerging markets and led secondary investment activities globally. She has led commitments of more than $2 billion into approximately 55 private equity funds around the world.
Earlier in her career, Zhang worked at Apax Partners, Newbridge Capital and Maveron.
"Alexa's specific skill and experience set further complements and enhances our investment capability in the Asia Pacific region," said Kevin Nee, president of Wilshire Private Markets. "Her appointment rounds out our senior investment team in the region, and positions us as a deeply insightful and differentiated private equity investor."
Wilshire Private Markets is a unit of Wilshire Associates, a California-based firm that provides consulting services, analytics solutions and customized investment products to sponsors, investment managers and financial intermediaries.
