Augentius appoints new Asia head
Fund administrator Augentius has appointed Jimmy Leong as managing director for Asia following the departure of Alexander Traub to Alter Domus.
Traub spent four years building Augentius' private equity and real estate fund services group in the region. A business that started as a four-person office in Singapore had grown to three locations, with approximately 300 staff, by the end of 2017. He became the regional executive for Asia Pacific at Alter Domus last month.
Leong, who is based in Singapore, has spent the last two decades in senior management positions with Asian and international financial institutions. Prior to joining Augentius, he was managing director of Hua Hong Foundation Investment and managing partner at Glaux Investment, a boutique consulting firm.
"The growth in Asian private equity remains highly optimistic as the landscape is set to undergo major transformations, driven by the rise of international and Asian managers capitalizing on China's new regulatory structure. Augentius is well positioned to benefit from these opportunities and to establish itself as the leading service provider across Asia Pacific," Leong said in a statement.
