TA promotes Sippel, Wadhera to lead Asia operations
TA Associates has promoted Edward Sippel and Naveen Wadhera to co-heads of its Asia business. The changes were effective January 1.
Sippel, formerly head of Asia at Quadrangle Group, joined TA in 2011 as managing principal and head of the newly-opened Hong Kong office. He will continue to be based in the city as a managing director, focusing on investments in Asia Pacific.
Wadhera, previously of Goldman Sachs, is relocating to Hong Kong from Mumbai where he served as director and country head for India. He will retain primary responsibility for TA's activities in the country.
Sippel advised on TA's 2013 investment in Nintex Group as well as earlier investments in Forgame and SpeedCast. Wadhera advised on the firm's commitments to Fractal Analytics, BillDesk and Tega Industries.
One of the largest global growth private equity firms, TA has raised $18 billion in capital and invested in more than 430 companies. In addition to Hong Kong and Mumbai, it has offices in Boston, Menlo Park and London.
