Cogent adds to Shanghai team
Cogent Partners has appointed Dominik Woessner as a director in its Shanghai office. He has relocated from the secondary market-focused firm’s London office as part of ongoing efforts to develop its footprint in Asia.
Woessner joined Cogent in 2007 from specialist secondaries investor Greenpark Capital. Before that, he worked in KPMG's transaction services unit. At Cogent, he has advised institutional investors on sales of LP interests in the secondary market as well as worked on private equity fund restructurings intended to deliver liquidity to investors.
"Dominik has contributed significantly to the firm's successful expansion in Europe," said Stephen Sloan, Cogent's managing partner, in a statement. "His experience will further enhance the firm's ability to provide our clients with valuable market insight and expand our reach to institutional investors in Asia."
Cogent has advised on approximately $75 billion in private equity commitments since inception. The firm is headquartered in Dallas, with additional offices in New York, San Francisco, London and Shanghai.
