
Pathway promotes head of Hong Kong office

Simon Lau, who has led the Asian operations at fund-of-funds Pathway Capital Management since 2012, has been promoted to managing director.
Lau joined the firm in 2006 and rose to director level six years later. As head of the Hong Kong office, he is responsible for investment analysis and conducting due diligence on primaries, secondaries, and co-investments, negotiating investment agreements, and client servicing.
Prior to Pathway, Lau was a consultant with Accenture in the UK.
Pathway has more than $70 billion in assets under management across private equity, private credit, and infrastructure. It creates and manages single- and multi-investor programs for institutional investors globally, offering exposure to primary funds, secondaries, and co-investments.
To date, the firm has committed more than $94 billion to 850 private market investments. In addition, it has raised in excess of $27 billion across over 60 fund-of-funds.
Pathway’s sole Asia office is in Hong Kong. It also has a presence in Japan through a strategic relationship with Tokio Marine Asset Management.
