We are now in the final stretch of our 2011 AVCJ Private Equity & Venture Capital Awards. These awards were launched 11 years ago with the specific aim of recognizing and rewarding excellence in the pan-Asia Pacific private equity and venture capital sector. For the second year running, nominations have been publicly invited from across the region and the shortlist is as follows…

DEAL OF THE YEAR

This Award recognises the year's best private equity buyout or growth capital investment in an Asian-based business. The finalists (firms in brackets) are:

• Tsubaki Nakashima (Carlyle Asia)
• NZ Poultry (Affinity Equity Partners)

FUNDRAISING OF THE YEAR

This Award pays tribute to the year's best Asian-focused fundraising exercise. The finalists (total amount) are:

TRADE SALE OF THE YEAR

This Award honours the successful trade sale or secondary buyout exit of a portfolio company that has resulted in substantiated returns to its private equity investors. The finalists (investors in brackets) are:

THE YEAR

This Award honours the year's best Asian-based investor with a recognised venture capital firm engaged in start-up, early stage, tech-oriented, or other pure venture investing. The finalists (their firms in brackets) are:
