Lakeshore launches Thai focused fund
Lakeshore, an investment firm led by Thai nationals, has announced the creation of Lakeshore Capital Asia Ltd, a $60 million growth capital fund manager focusing on Thailand. The fundraising is being assisted by London-based Chikusei Partners.
Founded in 2009 by Thai executives (with backgrounds in management consulting, investment banking, operations, family business and legal services), Anotai Adulbhan, Panaikorn Chartikavanij, Paniti Junhasavasdikul and Supawat Likittanawong, Lakeshore aims to use the experience and expertise of their founders to provide strategic, operational and international expansion support to portfolio companies. In particular, the Lakeshore team sees a major opportunity to help successful mid-size Thai companies finance the next stage of their growth by being a value-added investor.
"There is a clear gap for a new provider of growth capital to successful mid-size Thai companies that have ambitious plans to grow domestically or regionally," said Anotai Adulbhan in a statement. "We know the local business and financial communities very well and each team member brings complementary skills and transaction experience that make Lakeshore uniquely attractive as a capital provider," he added.
