Proskauer adds to Asia funds group
Global law firm Proskauer has appointed Lynn Chan as a consultant to the private investment funds group, working out of Hong Kong. She was previously a counsel in the investment funds practice at O’Melveny & Myers in Hong Kong and Singapore.
Chan focuses primarily on the structuring and management of private investment funds, acting for both GPs and LPs. She has advised a broad range of clients across Europe and Asia.
"With Lynn's addition we continue to execute our strategic plan to extend the capabilities of our core practice groups in Asia. Her extensive experience will complement our growing private investment funds team in both Hong Kong and Beijing," said Yuval Tal, head of Proskauer's Hong Kong office, in a statement.
Chan's appointment follows the recruitment of Yong Ren, formerly of Mayer Brown, to the private investment funds group as a partner.
Proskauer has 13 offices globally, with Asian operations run out of Beijing and Hong Kong. Areas of coverage include M&A, fund structuring and management, private equity and venture capital transactions, private equity real estate, capital markets, foreign direct investments and joint ventures.
