KKR adds to Capstone team in Australia
KKR has bulked up its operations capabilities in Australia with the addition of Matthew Claughton as a director with Capstone. He will be based in Sydney.
Claughton was most recently group general manager for Pacific Brands' Workwear business unit, having previously been responsible for the company's business development, human resources and international business across Asia Pacific, Europe and the Middle East. Before that, he worked for Foster's Group and McKinsey & Company.
"Matthew's talent and experience is a perfect fit to lead the KKR Capstone team in the country," said Justin Reizes, head of KKR Australia, in a statement. "As a line manager, he brings a track record of managing business, making them more efficient and developing and implementing growth strategies alongside prior experience in corporate strategy and blue-chip consulting."
KRR has deployed more than $2 billion in Australia since 2006 and has been adding personnel across its credit, real estate and energy, resources and infrastructure divisions. Capstone has been working on KKR portfolio companies in the country, including Bis Industries, GenesisCare, Santanol and Seven West Media.
