
Pacific Alliance appoints new MD for realty unit
Pacific Alliance Group, the Asian alternative asset investment manager, has appointed Wei Song, who previously worked with Equity International, a privately-held real estate investment company in the US, as MD of Pacific Alliance Real Estate.
During his tenure at the US firm, Wei held the position of Senior VP, responsible for originating and executing investments in China. Previously, Wei was Managing Director and President of the Anjia Group, a Chinese mortgage brokerage company in Shanghai. As for his new responsibilities with Pacific Alliance, he will focus on developing the group’s real estate footprint in Greater China. Wei will report to to Patrick Boot, Managing Director, Pacific Alliance Real Estate. Chris Gradel, Managing Partner, Pacific Alliance Group said that Wei experience will allow the firm to capitalise on significant opportunities in the sector, particularly in residential and retail development.
