Accounting firm Grant Thornton India has hired Munesh Khanna as its new senior partner for M&A and private equity in the country.
Prior to the appointment, the industry veteran served as managing director of investment banking at Centrum Capital, a Mumbai-based private equity-backed company.
Before that, he worked with private equity firm Halcyon Resources & Management and held various senior roles at DSP Merrill Lynch, Enam Financial Consultants and NM Rothschild & Sons.
Khanna also formed his own investment banking firm Resonus Advisors after quitting Halcyon. Resonus focused on corporate finance activities, investment banking, M&A and private equity.
Last year, Grant Thornton appointed former KPMG executive Raja Lahiri as partner for its transaction advisory services. His main business focus is deal making, including origination, preliminary deal analysis, due diligence (financial and commercial), valuation and negotiation.
Part of Grant Thornton International, Grant Thornton India has grown to become one of the largest accountancy firms in India. The firm specialises in providing compliance and advisory services to growth-oriented and entrepreneurial companies, while its M&A practice offers advice on debt and convertibles, international capital markets and private equity deals to local and international firms.
