State Street hires BoAML’s McNicholas as head of sales
State Street Corporation has appointed Dan McNicholas, formerly of Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BoAML), as head of sales for its alternative investment division in Asia Pacific.
McNicholas will be stationed in Hong Kong and report to Maria Cantillon, global head of AIS Sales. He will lead State Street's sales division in Asian alternative investments, which include private equity operations, hedge fund servicing and real estate.
Prior to the appointment, McNicholas worked for BoAML as the Asia Pacific director and head of financing sales for global markets financing and futures. His 15-year experience in the industry also includes roles at Lehman Brothers and Deutsche Bank.
Commenting on the new appointment, Carol Hall, head of alternative investment services in Asia Pacific, said: "Dan is an industry veteran with an outstanding record. We are pleased to have him on board and look forward to continuing to sharpen our focus on delivering comprehensive alternative investment servicing solutions across the region."
As the market for alternative investments continues to accelerate, State Street announced expansion plans for its real estate and private equity arms in mainland China, Hong Kong and Singapore last year.
