Adams Street promotes Doris Guo to partner
Adams Street Partners has promoted Doris Guo, a principal in charge of primary investments in Greater China, to partner.
Guo's promotion is one of seven announced by the firm, all of principals in various offices of the firm around the world.
Guo joined Adams Street in 2012, having previously served as a senior advisor at Adveq Investment Management, and an investment manager at CV Starr Investment Advisory Asia. She is involved in all aspects of the primary investment process, including strategy, investments, fundraising and portfolio construction.
Her promotion follows a management transition in Adams Street's Asia team over the past few months, with Asia investment team leader Piau-Voon Wang, who opened the firm's Singapore office in 2006, stepping back to an advisory role and Yar-Ping Soo succeeding him. In January the firm appointed Ben Hart to fill Soo's former role as head of business development for Asia.
Adams Street is credited with establishing the first private equity fund-of-funds for institutional investors. It has approximately $27 billion in assets under management and offices in Chicago, London, Menlo Park, New York, Singapore, Beijing and Tokyo.
