SingTel Innov8 leads Series C round for TubeMogul
SingTel Innov8, the venture capital arm of Singapore Telecommunications, has led a $10 million Series C round of investment in TubeMogul, a global video marketing platform.
Cross Creek Capital, a venture fund associated with Wasatch Advisors, also participated in the round, alongside existing investors Digital Advertising Consortium, Foundation Capital and Trinity Ventures.
Launched in 2006 TubeMogul's platform enables brand marketers to execute scalable digital video campaigns, while providing them with measurability and accountability.
The investment will be used to expand the company's footprint in Asia. This will include ramping up information technology infrastructure and making new hires in regions where it has already seen traction. The company has just opened an office in Beijing, its fourth Asian office after Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo, which launched in February.
"TubeMogul fits perfectly into our strategy of investing in top advertising companies that are poised for rapid growth in Asia," said Punit Chiniwalla, director of SingTel Innov8, in a statement.
Similar investments made by SingTel Innov8 include the $13 million round of Series D funding it led in Vuclip in November last year. Based in India, Vuclip claims to be the world's largest independent mobile video and media company.
