
Monument promotes Niklas Amundsson to partner
Niklas Amundsson, who joined Monument Group from MVision last year as managing director of the firm’s Hong Kong office, has been promoted to partner.
Amundsson is responsible for investor coverage in Asia and Australia. He previously spent seven years at MVision, supporting capital-raising activities by GP clients in Asia. Before that, he led private equity fundraising at Almeida Capital and worked on the equity sales desk at Credit Suisse.
Boston-headquartered Monument has an office in Tokyo as well as Hong Kong, complementing its presence in the US and UK.
Since its inception in 1994, the firm has assisted clients around the world in raising 75 funds totaling over $83 billion of equity. These funds span buyouts, growth capital, distress, mezzanine, credit, energy, natural resources, infrastructure and real estate.
