Eredene Capital appoints Paul Gismondi, Robert Arnold as non-Executive Directors
India- and infrastructure-focused PE fund Eredene Capital has appointed Lazard & Co. MD Paul Gismondi and former Willis Faber & Dumas partner Robert Arnold as non-Executive Directors.
Gismondi has been in the industry for more than 30 years and is a current MD at Lazard and was an MD at Manufacturers Hanover Limited in London. Meanwhile, Arnold was a partner with insurance broker Willis Faber & Dumas and was a board director of Allianz Portugal.
UK-based, AIM-listed Eredene focuses on infrastructure investments in India, specifically in the areas of logistics, distribution warehouses and port services. According to the company's website, the Eredene Group has made investments in eleven projects in India and claims four of those are revenue generating and a fifth is taking sales deposits. It further raised GBP7.1 million ($11 million) in an institutional placement in August 2009 and has a market capitalization of more than GBP50 million ($78 million).
In June, Eredene led a consortium to win the rights to build and operate the Ennore Port container terminal project in Tamil Nadu, along with Spanish and Indian industry partners.
