Everstone hires head of capital markets, exits
India and Southeast Asia-focused Everstone Capital has named Bhavna Thakur as its head of capital markets and exits.
In statement, the company said Bhavna will be based in Mumbai and lead the GP's capital markets and exits function across both the private equity and real estate businesses, working closely with the investments and operations teams.
Bhavna - who has 17 years of corporate finance, investment banking, M&A, and capital markets experience - previously worked at Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, and law firms Wharton & Garrison, and Davis Polk and Wardwell.
Her appointment comes a month after Everstone hired Roshini Bakshi and Rajev Shukla, formerly of Disney and Unilever, respectively, as managing directors on its operations team.
Everstone is currently raising its third fund, which launched last year with a target of $650 million. The firm backs companies that have significant operations on the Indian subcontinent, particularly those that cater to or benefit from domestic consumption and infrastructure development.
