MoFo hires ex-A&O PE specialist Jeremy Hunt
Morrison & Foerster has recruited Jeremy Hunt as a partner in its Hong Kong-based corporate practice. Hunt joins after 24 years at Allen & Overy, where he worked on numerous private equity transactions involving the likes of The Carlyle Group, Temasek Holdings and Capital International.
He specializes in capital investments, pre-IPO financings and leveraged buyouts, and has experience working in numerous jurisdictions, including the UK, Germany, Sweden and Spain, as well as across Asia.
"Expanding our corporate transactional capabilities in China and Southeast Asia, and particularly our work with private equity funds, is a top strategic priority of the firm," said Keith Wetmore, chair of Morrison & Foerster. "Jeremy has a very significant reputation in that space and we are delighted to welcome him."
Ven Tan, managing partner of the law firm's Hong Kong office, cited Hunt's experience in Hong Kong PIPE deals, leveraged buyouts and public takeovers as particularly useful.
Hunt will work with Thomas Chou, co-chair of Morrison & Foerster's Asia private equity practice. Other recent arrivals at the law firm include Thomas Man, a corporate partner in Beijing, and Melody He-Chen and John Moore in Hong Kong.
