
Capital Dynamics names Ammann as CEO
Capital Dynamics has announced Stefan Ammann to be the company's CEO, with immediate effect. He replaces Thomas Kubr, founding CEO, who will serve on a full-time basis as executive chairman of the board of directors.
The expansion of top management means Ammann will take on the day-to-day operational management of the firm, allowing Kubr to focus exclusively on client development and overall firm strategy.
Ammann is a managing director at Capital Dynamics, and has been the firm's chief operating officer and chief financial officer since 2002. Prior to joining the firm, he was CFO for Cosmite Engineering in Switzerland and worked for the Swiss office of Trafigura, a large international trading company, and Westpac Banking Corporation in New Zealand.
"Stefan is the ideal person to take on the role of CEO and the management of our firm," said Kubr. "He's been a co-architect of its strategy and is intimately familiar with its operational and financial aspects; therefore he is best-suited to ensure the business continues to run smoothly and efficiently."
Capital Dynamics, which focuses on private assets including private equity, clean energy, infrastructure and real estate, offers investors a range of products and services including funds of funds, direct investments, separate account solutions, and structured private equity products. Headquartered in Switzerland, it also has offices in Asia include Tokyo and Hong Kong.
