
WI Harper appoints two scientists as advisory board members
Longstanding China PE firm WI Harper Group has invited Dr. Ge Li, founder, chairman and CEO of WuXi Pharmatech, and Dr. Gordon Huang, an expert in green energy, to join its advisory board.
“WI Harper has thoughtfully supported the technology evolution in cleantech and health care in China and the US,” said Kai-Fu Lee, chairman of the WI Harper Advisory Board. Aside from leading the foundation of NASDAQ-listed WuXi Pharmatech in 2000, Li is also a founding scientist of Pharmacopeia, Inc., a listed biopharmaceutical company that addresses significant medical conditions such as diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis. Huang is currently the Associate Dean (International) at the Faculty of Engineering of University of Regina in Canada, and an international expert for the United Nations Environmental Protection Program and the United Nations Development Program as well as an international panel expert with the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
