Nominations are open for the 2012 AVCJ China Awards
As the industry's premier information source, AVCJ tasks itself with highlighting the firms, professionals and deals that are a cut above the rest. We do this on a weekly basis in print and on an annual basis through our awards. As such, we are proud to announce the 2nd AVCJ Private Equity & Venture Capital Awards China.
Nominations are now open and will remain so for one month. Our judging panel, drawn from industry experts across the region, will then confer with the AVCJ Editorial Board, and candidate shortlists will be drawn up. For two weeks, starting in early May, the entire Asia private equity community will be invited to cast their vot.
The winners - based 50% on the public vote and 25% each on judging panel and AVCJ Editorial Board recommendations - will be announced at the AVCJ Private Equity & Venture Forum China (www.avcjchina.com), scheduled for May 30-31 in Beijing.
There are eight standard categories, each seeking to recognize excellence in a particular niche of the Chinese private equity business. They are:
• China Private Equity Deal of the Year
• China Venture Capital Deal of the Year
• China Firm of the Year
• China Private Equity Professional of the Year
• China Venture Capital Professional of the Year
• China Fundraising of the Year - US dollar
• China Fundraising of the Year - Renminbi
• China Private Equity Exit of the Year
There is a ninth category, the AVCJ Special Achievement Award - China, which is a special award that recognizes a China-focused individual who has distinguished himself or herself over at least one decade in facilitating the growth of the private equity and venture capital industry. This is presented at the discretion of the AVCJ Editorial Board, although suggestions from the private equity and venture capital community will be considered and valued.
Please help us recognize excellence in Chinese private equity by nominating candidates for the awards. To do so, please visit our AVCJ China Awards website at www.avcjchina.com/static/awards.
