
King takes over for Asia Pacific M&A at Barclays Capital
Following earlier reports of his departure from the top Asian M&A role at Morgan Stanley, Edward King has now formally joined Barclays Capital as MD at its Mergers & Acquisitions, IBD Asia Pacific department.
King spent 11 years at Morgan Stanley, rising to Head of its Asia Pacific Mergers, Acquisitions and Restructuring department and Head of the Asia Pacific Financial Sponsors group. He also served as Head of Morgan Stanley's China M&A business. Recently, he advised PetroChina and Royal Dutch Shell on their acquisition of Arrow Energy for $3.2 billion, and Singapore's Chartered Semiconductor on its sale to ATIC for $3.1 billion.
