
New Silk Road advisor Pitroda joins Symphony Technology Group
Special Adviser at Asian-focused PE firm New Silk Road Salil Pitroda has joined tech-focused firm Symphony Technology Group as Principal, charged with leading STG’s investment strategies and executions.
According to STG, Pitroda specifically will research potential investments, lead transaction execution and work with management teams in STG's portfolio companies to bolster operations.
Pitroda previously worked at New Silk Road, which claims $1.4 billion under management, advising on investments into sectors including telecoms, financial services and software. He has additionally held positions at Old Lane, LP, which was a $4 billion investment firm that was acquired by Citigroup in 2007, and at $1.1 billion buyout firm Thomas H. Lee Putnam.
