Dinneen leaves Siguler Guff for EMPEA
Patricia Dinneen has left Siguler Guff and joined the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association (EMPEA) as a senior advisor. Ralph Jaeger is replacing Dinneen as portfolio manager responsible for Brazil, Russia, India and China (BRIC), as well as certain frontier markets.
During her 10-year stint at Siguler Guff, most recently as a managing director, Dinneen helped build and manage the firm's emerging markets business, notably the BRIC portfolio. Much of her 36-year career has been devoted to emerging markets, including positions at Cambridge Associates, RAND Corporation and at the White House.
Jaeger, also a managing director, joined Siguler Guff in 2012, having previously co-led international private equity and venture capital research efforts at Cambridge Associates. Like Dinneen, he is an emerging markets specialist and involved in management of the BRIC portfolio.
Siguler Guff has approximately $10 billion in assets under management. BRIC Opportunities Fund I was launched in 2005 and received $610 million in capital commitments. Its successor vehicle came two years later, reaching a final close of $893 million.
The third BRIC fund launched in 2011 and was said to be targeting $1 billion. According to the most recent regulatory filing, dated April, it had received commitments of approximately $175 million.
