ASK Pravi Capital appoints operating adviser
India’s ASK Pravi Capital Advisors has hired Naveen Kshatriya as an operating advisor to its private equity fund.
The private equity firm, formed by the merger of Mumbai-based financial services firm ASK Group and Pravi Capital Advisors, employed Kshatriya to assist its investment team in evaluating deals in the consumer product and services sector. He will also advise investee companies in this area on all aspects of their businesses.
"Naveen kshatriya's addition strengthens ASK Pravi's existing team of operating advisors and functional experts in providing operating value-add to its portfolio companies," said ASK Pravi Managing Partner Jayanta Banerjee.
Kshatriya has more than 40 years of experience in business leadership, marketing and customer management and has led both turnaround and growth companies in India, Singapore, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and the UK. He recently retired as head of BP Castrol's Automotive Lubricants business in Asia Pacific.
Kshatriya commented that his new employer's fund philosophy is in sync with his personal belief that Indian companies have strong potential to scale up the businesses at an operational level.
ASK Pravi was established last October, with a view to investing $200 in Indian companies. The fund is thought to be aiming to spend $10-15 million on stakes ranging from 25-80% in target companies. ASK and Pravi each committed $2 million into the fund.
