
Clifford Chance poaches Asia funds partner from Kirkland
Clifford Chance has bolstered its Asia private funds offering with the recruitment of Liyong Xing, formerly a partner at Kirkland & Ellis.
Xing works with Asian fund sponsors on the structuring, formation, and governance of private investment funds across venture capital, growth capital, buyout, real estate, infrastructure, secondaries, and co-investment. She will continue in this area as a partner in Clifford Chance’s global funds and investment management team.
During eight years at Kirkland, four of them as a partner, Xing primarily worked with China-based sponsors. She has represented, among others, Ascendent Capital Partners, China Merchants Capital, China Renaissance, CITIC Capital, Genesis Capital, GL Capital, IDG Capital, Kinzon Capital, Legend Capital, Lyfe Capital, North Summit Capital, and SAIF Partners.
