
Pantheon promotes Alex Wilmerding to partner
Pantheon has promoted Alex Wilmerding, who is responsible for client relationships across Asia Pacific and also sits on the regional investment team, to partner.
Wilmerding has been with the firm for nine years, having previously worked for Citi Private Bank. Based in Hong Kong, he covers investment opportunities across Asia, including Australia, focusing on private equity and infrastructure. On the client side, he heads up regional investor relations and fundraising efforts, excluding South Korea.
Pantheon made 31 promotions across its various teams and offices. The firm also implemented several job title changes to reflect business expansion and broadening roles. They include Jinman Kim who has become managing director and head of South Korea. Kim is responsible for client relationships and business development in the country.
Founded in 1982, Pantheon had $36.9 billion in assets under management as of June 2017 on behalf of more than 450 investors, including public and private pension plans, insurance companies, endowments, and foundations. It runs primary fund-of-funds, secondary, co-investment and customized separate account programs covering private equity, infrastructure, and real assets.
