Fosun Kinzon leads $15m round for China medical app
Fosun Kinzon Capital, a VC arm backed by Fosun Group, has led a RMB100 million ($15 million) Series B round for Easyhin, a Chinese mobile app that provides healthcare services to mothers and children.
Existing investors SBCVC, Morningside Ventures and Hawthorn Investment also participated, Liang Liang, the company's CEO, told local media outlet 36kr.
Founded in 2015, Easyhin focuses on maternity and baby healthcare services. It has formed exclusive partnerships with more than 1,000 doctors from top hospitals, providing online consultation services to over 3.6 million registered users. Easyhin claims to process more than 10,000 cases every day.
The company recently introduced an online emergency consultation service, which aims to repond to medical inquiries within one minute. In addition, earlier this month, Easyhin partnered with insurance companies to launch an internet healthcare insurance product for its members.
The company plans to use the fresh funding to expand its online-to-offline (O2O) services, including opening a new offline pediatric clinic.
