IncuCapital backs EFactor’s expansion in India
IncuCapital has reached an agreement to launch EFactor, a major global entrepreneurial community platform, in India, in a bid to generate business network opportunities for local entrepreneurs.
The San Francisco-headquartered communication platform provides its members with the people and tools to access experts, advisors, potential clients, talent and funding sources across 90 industries. The company currently has one million members in 185 countries.
Through the partnership, Indian-based venture capital firm IncuCapital will integrate EFactor with its local team. "This strategic partnership is a prime example of what we refer to as an inbound venturing practice where we help launch foreign companies in India," Kris Nair, senior partner of IncuCapital, said.
As companies have been developing their global footprints, the demand for suppliers, customers and talents is increasing. In order tap into these needs, EFactor sees India as one of its key destinations.
"After building a community of over one million members globally, we are now turning our sights on key areas of the world in which there is tremendous opportunity to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit," Marion Freijsen, co-founder of EFactor, explained. "This includes India as well as China and other countries throughout Europe."
Adrie Reinders, another co-founder of the company, added that the Indian market has offered an environment of eager entrepreneurs who are looking for the tools and information they need to succeed.
EFactor is already launching initiatives directed at the entrepreneurial community in India. These will include an online community and face-to-face social events.
