Beijing software company gets Series B funding
800App, a Beijing-based CRM software services firm, has received a Series B round of funding from Salesforce.com, as well as from existing investor Sierra Ventures.
Financial details of the raise have not been disclosed, but 800App will use the capital to expand its software business and distribution in China. The company, launched in 2004, develops CRM programs that automate companies' sales force management and implement customer services solutions. Its clients include China Mobile, China National Offshore Oil Corp, NEC China, and China Life Insurance.
800App received its Series A round of venturing funding from Sierra and Ivy Capital in 2008.
"The company has established itself as the leader in the cloud computing field in China with proven CRM software products and industry solutions that meet the needs of the marketplace," Ben Yu, managing director of Sierra Ventures, said in a statement.
Outside of 800App's Beijing headquarters, the company has offices in Shenzhen, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Alviso, California.
