GGV leads $10m Series B for China home decoration site Kujiale
GGV Capital has led a $10 million Series B round of funding for Kujiale, a Chinese interior decoration services platform.
Matrix Partners, IDG Capital Partners and China-based Yunqi Partners also participated, the company confirmed to Technode. The firm previously raised funds from angel investor Harry Wang and IDG.
Founded in January last year, Hangzhou-based Kujiale is a platform through which users can choose interior designs that fit their homes. Users enter their building name and Kujiales lists decoration solutions in different layouts offered by offline service providers. The platform currently has over one million users.
The start-up will use the new capital to broaden its service provider base and enhance its online-to-offline (O2O) services.
Online home furnishing services have become a popular theme for VC and strategic investors. In March, To8to, a Chinese interior decoration service platform, raised $200 million round from Sequoia Capital, Matrix and classifieds online marketplace 58.com. Jia.com, a home furnishing and decoration B2C online platform backed by several VC firms, completed a Series D round worth $160 million the same month.
In February, Shunwei Capital Partners led a RMB60 million ($9.6 million) Series A round for Ikongjian.com, with participation from H Capital and DST Advisors.
