Aspada invests in Indian supply chain services firm
Aspada Investment invested INR100 million ($1.6 million) in ThinkLink Supply Chain Services, which provides skill development and staffing services as well as turnkey project management to companies in India’s logistics sector.
The investment will be used to scale up operations at ThinkLink Learning, the company's professional development, vocational skills, and staffing division, and help create employment pathways for blue collar and entry level employees.
"Professionalization of India's supply chain needs to occur if firms are to keep pace with consumer-led demand across multiple sectors," Thomas Hyland, partner at Aspada Investment Advisors, said in a statement. "There is a large opportunity for a highly experienced operator like ThinkLink to work with industry in developing the right infrastructure and processes."
Aspada's investments in businesses that are creating value through development of supply chain capacities include Lawrencedale Agri Processing an end-to-end fresh vegetable supply chain company that aggregates fresh produce at the farm to sell to retail consumers under the LEAF brand.
