Siguler Guff closes BRIC fund at $650m
Siguler Guff has raised around $650 million for its third BRIC opportunities fund. The total includes three separate accounts for large institutions.
All vehicles focus on high-growth opportunities within the emerging markets, according to a statement. The Siguler Guff BRIC Opportunities Fund III will look for diversified portfolio fund investments and co-investments with a primary focus on Brazil, Russia, India and China markets.
"We seek to invest opportunistically within the emerging markets by exploiting areas of inefficiency and leveraging the high-growth characteristics of these regions," said Ralph Jaeger, managing director and portfolio manager of the firm's emerging markets funds.
The private equity firm has over $10 billion of assets under management across three lines of business - multi-manager funds, direct investment funds and separate accounts.
Its investors include more than 450 institutions and over 500 high net worth individuals. The firm has so far invested in over 380 private equity funds.
