
Sequoia invests in China online wedding planner Daoxila
Sequoia Capital has invested in a Series B round of funding for Daoxila.com, a Chinese online wedding planner.
The size of the round amounts to tens of millions of dollars.
The site, which launched in 2010, is operated by Daoxila Wedding Network. The online-to-offline platform provides a one-stop service from banquet reservation to wedding photography. In addition to an online presence, the company has shops in 23 Chinese cities.
The new funding will be used for technology innovation as well as to enhance users' online experience, Wen Li, Daoxila's CEO, told local media.
According to AVCJ Research, Fidelity Growth Partners Asia and New Access Capital invested about $10 million in the company in 2012.
