
Horsley Bridge appoints Du Chai as MD
Fund-of-funds Horsley Bridge Partners has appointed Du Chai, head of private investments and real assets at Illinois-based Northwestern University, as managing director of its investment team.
Chai held his previous role at Northwestern for ten years, co-managing more than $2.5 billion in alternative assets, including venture capital and buyout investments. He further aided Northwestern's in developing its private equity emerging markets strategy, with a focus on China.
Prior to his role at the university, Chai spend five years at JP Morgan.
Horsley Bridge is based in San Francisco and has offices in London and Beijing. The firm focuses on venture capital, growth and smaller buyout investing in Asia, the US and Europe, claiming $12 billion in committed capital globally.
