Australia's PE-backed Nintex acquires US-based Drawloop
Nintex Group, an Australian software provider backed by TA Associates, has agreed to acquire Drawloop Technologies, a US-based software platform that offers automated document services.
TA Associates acquired an undisclosed stake in the company alongside technology-focused GP Updata Partners in 2013. Prior to that Macquarie took an approximately 25% stake in the company in 2010.
Nintex offers a suite of cloud-based software providing workflow solutions to businesses. According to its website, the company claims to serve more than 5,000 public and private organizations in 90 countries, and its client base includes 200 of the Fortune 500.
Drawloop meanwhile helps its clients automate and standardize their document generation processes. Its key product is its LOOP Document Services solution, which allows clients to use existing data to generate sales and service documents, and merge them with Salesforce data.
"By bringing together our market-leading workflow automation with Drawloop's document generation capabilities, we can more easily address scenarios that are often difficult or expensive for businesses to solve today, in and across multiple cloud platforms and in all mobile scenarios," said John Burton CEO of Nintex, in a statement. "By allowing our solutions to be used by business analysts rather than programmers, we complement the IT organization while empowering the business user."
Following the investment, Drawloop's office in Irvine, California, will expand as its employees and operations integrate with the Nintex teams based in Bellevue, Washington, and Melbourne, Australia. Nintex will also accelerate investments in the Drawloop platform.
