
Nexus backs digital security firm Uniken
Nexus Venture Partners has invested a reported INR300 million ($4.8 million) in US enterprise security firm Uniken, which has its innovation center in India.
The Florida-headquartered firm's REL-ID technology is a holistic plug and play security solution which provides identity and device management and authentication and a secure private communication channel among other functions. There are currently over a million end-users at financial institutions who use REL-ID.
"We are seeing rapid adoption of our path breaking REL-ID platform which provides secure, rich and consistent experience with simplified infrastructure and low investment," Gopi Gopalan, chairman of the Uniken board said in a statement. "With this round of funding, we expect to further leverage the massive market opportunity and accelerate our growth."
Nexus managing director Sandeep Singhal will join Uniken's board.
Nexus' business technology investments include Aryaka Networks, which delivers cloud-based application acceleration, and cloud services provider Netmagic which has been acquired by NTT Com.
