
Juren leads $9m Series A round for ChinaNetCloud
Juren Capital has led a $9 million Series A round for Chinese cloud server solutions start-up ChinaNetCloud.
Jolly Capital also participated in the round. ChinaNetCloud said in a statement that it will use the funds to accelerate the company's growth, technology development and customer base, along with increasing its investment in R&D for security, reliability and performance.
The company, which refers to itself as an "internet operations-as-a-service" provider, offers clients a range of services, including building, managing and optimizing server systems and cloud servers, in such sectors as e-commerce, software-as-a-service, the internet-of-things, and digital media. Its partners include Aliyun, Alibaba Group's cloud computing division
ChinaNetCloud was founded in 2008 and claims to have grown 50-100% each year since then. It previously raised seed funding from 500 Startups, ChinaCache and DFR Asia, among others. The company hopes to go public in China within the next two years.
Juren is a VC firm founded in 2013 and based in Hangzhou, China. It focuses on early-stage tech start-ups, having backed the likes of entertainment and gaming company Beijing SinceTimes Communication Technology and game developer Kingnet Technology.
