Australia's PageUp People gets $10m from Accel-KKR
Accel-KKR, a Silicon Valley-based PE firm, has invested $10 million for an undisclosed stake in PageUp People, an Australian firm that provides software for tracking worker performance.
The investment will fund the further expansion of the PageUp People technology platform into emerging markets.
"The majority of our global Fortune 500 and ASX 100 clients have established and are growing businesses in high growth regions such China, India, South-East Asia, Latin America and South Africa." Karen Cariss, CEO of PageUp People, said in a statement. "The demand to service existing clients is naturally drawing us to these markets but will also be a platform for exponential growth of new business."
PageUp People is the latest investment in Accel-KKR's portfolio of software companies. "We expect our investment to release PageUp People's potential and substantially accelerate the execution of its strategic plan," said Greg Williams, managing director with the PE firm.
Accel-KKR plans to continue building relationships with growing Australian and Asia Pacific companies which provide software and technology-enabled services to the market.
"We are excited to be partnered with Karen and her team. PageUp is a great example of what we believe to be an exceptionally strong and entrepreneurial technology development community in Australia," added Tom Barnds, a founding partner with Accel-KKR.
