Horizons Ventures joins round for reputation site Traity
Horizons Ventures, a VC business owned by Hong Kong billionaire Li Ka-Shing, has participated in a $4.7 million Series A round for shopping-based social platform Traity.
The round was led by European VC firm Active Venture Partners, with participation from KRW Schindler Private Ventures, Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments, Lanta Digital Ventures, 500 startups and other individuals.
Founded in 2012, the company - which has offices in Spain and San Francisco - allows users to construct an online reputation or resume based on past shopping transactions. Purchases can be logged through different e-commerce or online payment platforms.
Traity will use the new investment to scale up its business, promoting its technology to identity customers who are trustworthy in online transactions.
"It is our belief that there is an increasing demand for accurate and safe online transactions between people and that Traity's disruptive and ground-breaking reputation passport will be of great value for its community and the whole collaborative economy," Christopher Pommerening, founding partner at Active Venture, said in a statement.
