
Leadyond in partial exit from China’s NSFocus Information
Leadyond Capital has partially exited its stake in NSFocus Information Technology, a Chinese network security services specialist, via a public market trade for RMB140.5 million ($22 million).
Leadyond sold 1.9 million shares, or a 1.4% interest, at RMB72, RMB74.49 and RMB74.7 apiece through three tranches, a filing showed.
Founded in 2000, Beijing-headquartered NSFocus sells security software products, including a firewall web application and a website security monitoring service, to over 12,000 enterprises globally.
According to AVCJ Research, NSFocus raised at least $23 million across five rounds of financing since 2002. Backers included Leadyond, Hong Kong-based technology investment firm imGO, Legend Capital and Swedish VC firm Investor Growth Capital Asia. Leadyond invested $6.63 million in the firm in 2010.
Leadyond's stake was trimmed to 11.8% from 13.24% upon completion of the transaction.
Set up in 2007, Leadyond focuses on growth capital and buyout strategies across various industries, including clean technology, consumer products, manufacturing and ecology.
