Hawkesbridge backs Colemans
Australian private equity firm Hawkesbridge has acquired a stake in Australian fencing infrastructure firm the Colemans Group.
Founded in 1984 by Michael Coleman, the company represents New South Wales' largest perimeter security and commercial fencing infrastructure business.
Hawkesbridge, which manages more than $200 million in funds for institutional investors, will assist with the corporatization of the group advice and expansion capital to enable greenfield development and strategic acquisitions to take place.
Colemans is currently experiencing strong demand from major utilities and corporates to install, upgrade or maintain their fencing and security infrastructure to ensure it meets modern security, anti-terrorism and health and safety requirements.
"Michael has built a great and substantial business over the past 20 years," said Joshua Rowe, managing partner at Hawkesbridge. "Fortunately, he has allowed us to assist him in transitioning his business as it seeks to nationalize its operations and capitalize on the large number of major infrastructure projects around Australia that have a major fencing and security requirement."
