Morningside, IDG provide Series B round for China’s AllMobilize
Morningside Technologies and IDG Capital Partners have invested in a Series B round of funding for AllMobilize, a Chinese start-up that helps companies create websites that are adaptive to mobile devices.
The size of the round amounts to tens of millions of dollars, the company said, confirming the investment to local media outlet Iheima.
Beijing-headquartered AllMobilize was founded in 2012 by Ben Chen, who used to work in Microsoft's Internet Explorer development team. Powered by HTML5 and cloud technology, AllMobilize's solution helps companies transform their traditional websites so they function properly on mobile devices running different operating systems. The objective is to improve user experience and mobile revenue.
The company's technology is now used by more than 300,000 corporates globally, including Microsoft, Lenovo and Hisense Group. The new capital will be used to develop a new HTML5-enabled internet browser for enterprises, Chen said.
Tianjin Venture Capital invested an undisclosed amount in the company in 2013, AVCJ Research's records show.
