Alvarez & Marsal appoints Asia forensic, disputes services head
Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), performance improvement, turnaround and business advisory services provider, has appointed Keith Williamson as Asia leader of its global forensic and dispute business in Hong Kong and China.
Williamson has spent more than 18 years of forensic and investigative accounting. He specializes in investigations into fraud, corruption under the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the UK Bribery Act compliance, and regulatory issues, according to a statement.
He joined A&M in 2011 in London. Most recently he has advised a non-governmental organization with investigations of the alleged misappropriation of grant funds in Asia and Africa.
"We are excited about Keith joining the team on the ground in Hong Kong at a time when Asia, and in particular China, is seeing a growing number of investigations into fraud, corruption and regulatory issues. With his previous experience of working in Asia, Keith helps us bring an even stronger solution to meet our clients' needs," said Oliver Stratton, managing director and co-head of A&M Asia.
Founded in 1983, A&M has been operating in Asia since 2003 and has offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing as well as Mumbai.
