Nirvana Venture Advisors backs YourNextLeap.com
Nirvana Venture Advisors has contributed an undisclosed amount to the Series A round of financing for YourNextLeap.com, an Indian internet start-up that acts as a career counselor for students. The company, which was only founded 10 months ago, will use the funds for expansion.
YourNextLeap.com was founded by Suruchi Wagh and Mohit Gundecha. The latter is former head of India operations for mig33 and currently serves as CEO of YourNextLeap.com. Under the conditions of Nirvana's investment, three new board members will be appointed, including Rajan Mehra, formerly India head of eBay.
The company helps students make more-informed career decisions, using a suite of online tools, including psychometric evaluations and math models based on past admission patterns. University Suggestor and College Suggestor are intended to boost a student's chances of getting admitted to college, while Branch Suggestor assists in course selection.
"Our investment is driven by an impressive founding team and their insightful use of social media and analytics, to help Indian students make education choices and plan their early careers" said Rajan Mehra, managing director of Nirvana Venture Advisors, in a statement.
Nirvana is an early-stage venture capital fund focused exclusively on digital and electronic markets. The Patni family are anchor investors.
