
Quadrant acquires Media Monitors
Australia’s Quadrant Private Equity has taken a 100% stake in region-wide media intelligence and news-aggregating firm Media Monitors for an undisclosed amount.
Media Monitors has offices in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and mainland China, and specifically works to aggregate news from across print, TV, radio and online media. Since its launch in 1982, Media Monitors has largely expanded through acquisitions and product diversification, and currently claims more than 800 employees and 5,000 clients across Asia Pacific.
According to a company statement, Quadrant aims to usher Media Monitors into its next phase of growth, accomplished by developing the business through its products, services and potential strategic acquisitions. Greenhill Caliburn acted as financial adviser for Media Monitors and Baker & McKenzie acted as its legal adviser. Quadrant Private Equity was advised by Ernst & Young with Minter Ellison as legal adviser.
