
Archer tops up dairy acquisitions
Private equity buyout firm Archer Capital, which owns a majority stake in DairyWest, has acquired West N Fresh Premium yoghurt business from Lee and Paul Hayes. The company will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Brownes, which DairyWest also acquired last week. DairyWest is preparing to launch in the greater Asia Pacific region, according to chairman Justin Punch, who noted that the Brownes business is “well suited to capitalize on export opportunities into Asia.”
