
Japan's no. 1 ad giant Dentsu to launch digital fund
Dentsu Inc., Japan's largest advertising agency, and its affiliate, Dentsu Digital Holding Inc., are launching a JPY10 billion ($120 million) fund, the Dentsu Digital Fund, to be managed by the newly-formed Dentsu Digital Investment Business Limited Partnership.
The new platform is intended to accelerate the group’s global strategy to grow the digital communications market, and to strengthen and expand its business in not only in Japan, but also in overseas markets, including the US and China. No further details on the tentative fund were disclosed.
Concurrently, Dentsu has formed Dentsu Network West Inc., in order to oversee the Dentsu Group’s operating and management companies in the Americas (North America and Latin America) and in Europe (excluding Russia).
