Sequoia exits Pangea3 via sale to Thomson Reuters
Sequoia Capital India has confirmed the sale of its portfolio company Pangea3, a leading legal process outsourcing business, to Thomson Reuters, for an undisclosed amount.
According to Sequoia, the deal was an early-stage investment led by Sumir Chadha and Shailendra Singh, both MDs at the firm. Pangea3 focuses on areas including litigation support and document review; patent and contract drafting; corporate governance and corporate secretarial work; and competitive intelligence and patent litigation. Thomson Reuters described Pangea3 as the world standard in the LBO marketplace.
Sequoia originally invested in Pangea3 in 2007, in a Series C round of $7 million. Chadha served on the Pangea3 board post-investment. Media reports instanced a possible $100 million value on the exit.
