
Inventus and Nexus lead $3.5m Series A round for Salorix
Inventus Capital Partners and Nexus Venture Partners have led a $3.5 million Series A round of funding for social media marketing and analytics firm Salorix.
The company's CEO Santanu Bhattacharya said the new capital will allow the business to further develop its technology and expand its product offering.
Founded in 2009, the business, a platform for social media campaign management, is headquartered in the US, but has offices in Bangalore. Its clients include Blue Shield of California, AARP, United Online, HP/Palm and media agencies such as Mediacom, OMD and Universal McCann.
Kanwal Rekhi, managing director of Inventus, worked on the deal. "Brands need to follow their customers, who today are flocking to social media en masse," he said.
Nexus, meanwhile was represented by co-founder Naren Gupta, who said that, "Organizations' desire to use social media to enhance customer satisfaction and improve revenue opportunities is going through a revolutionary change."
